Nestled on the East Coast of Tasmania, I’m a business owner who thrives on helping others and creating connections through design. My journey began in 2013 and it has been a path filled with creativity, learning and growth.

For over five years I was immersed in the agricultural industry whilst my curiosity for design and marketing steadily grew. This passion ultimately led me to establish Sophie Murfitt Design (SMD) in 2018, a venture that started in my spare time and quickly became a fulfilling career. By 2019 I had earned a double degree in Agriculture and Business (Marketing Major), a blend that has shaped the way I approach my work today.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working on a variety of projects, from custom websites to brand development, all with one goal in mind - helping businesses stand out and connect with their audience. With over six years as a Marketing Manager I bring a strategic mindset to every project, ensuring that each design is not just beautiful but also purposeful and effective.

But there’s more to me than just work. I’m the proud owner of three dogs (two kelpies and a miniature dachshund) and a cat named Amigo. My partner of 15 years is my best friend, supporting me through every challenge and adventure. Together we embrace the farm lifestyle, with all its trials and rewards, finding joy in the small moments that make life on the land so special.

I live for my weekends where I can enjoy gardening, strolls on the beach and diving into a good book. I’m an old soul that cherishes simple pleasures like sipping on my tenth cup of potted tea for the day or listening to classical music while the world outside hums along.
